The World’s First Residential Flame Detector
A REVOLUTION IN HOME FIRE SAFETY
Burlington, NC – June 19, 2024 –
The development and engineering team at Eye Detekt is excited to announce the introduction of the world’s first residential flame detector. This groundbreaking new product designed to instantly detect small flames in homes and the company is thrilled to have the first products now in inventory.
According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), while 96% of American homes have smoke alarms, thousands of individuals are still injured or killed in home fires each year.
“Understanding the root cause of these incidents is key to preventing them,” says John Andres, inventor of Eye Detekt’s Flame Detector.
Smoke alarms are essential but often neglected or placed in areas prone to false alarms, such as kitchens and bathrooms.
“Smoke alarms tend to be out of sight, out of mind,” says Andres. “People often interact with them only when the battery needs replacing, leading to the batteries being removed during false alarms, leaving families unprotected.”
